Placenta Encapsulation

The best investment in the postpartum window is taking care of the Mother, The Queen. If you take care of the Queen you are taking care of the whole family.

The Placenta has been a part of Chinese medicine traditions for thousands of years. American Culture is starting to open up to the ancient practice of healing during the postpartum time. Placenta Encapsulation helps mothers to hormonally adjust, and to restore their emotional and physical balance.

Placenta Encapsulation is the process of preparing the mother’s placenta after the birth of the baby. The placenta gets dehydrated, then powdered and placed into capsules for the mother to take.

The Methods

Raw

The placenta is not steamed prior to dehydration.

The raw method is the most potent, offers the highest iron content and energy boost, as well the highest yield in capsules.

Contraindications for those who are sensitive to caffeine, or other stimulants. Have suffered from depression or anxiety prior to pregnancy or tested GBS positive.

Steamed

Lightly steamed prior to dehydration with warming spices and herbs.

Can save the broth after for you to consume.

Will yield less capsules due to being steamed before dehydration.

If you don't want to encapsulate it, you have other options

Placenta Prints: Turn your placenta into a beautiful piece of art with placenta prints.  I can do a print on high-quality paper or canvas. You have the option of a more natural print using your blood or adding color with natural food dye.

Placenta Salves: Salves are beeswax, mixed with some of the placenta. Great for hemorrhoids, c-section incision, diaper rash, sun burns, and skin irritations. They lessen scarring, itching and discomfort.

Placenta Tincture: Placenta Tincture extends the longevity of the placental supply and lasts forever! The Tincture is preserved in 100+ proof high-grade alcohol. Tinctures are meant for energy, stress and transitions such as:

  • When your menstrual cycle returns

  • Can help with the transition into your crone phase ~ Menopause

  • If you have a daughter, it can help her with her transition into her maiden phase ~ puberty

  • Teething babies 6 months or older can have one to two drops on a fingertip, then massaged into their gums.

It's the gift that keeps on giving!

What is in the Placenta

Trace Minerals:

Copper: Assists with iron absorption, provides thyroid support, and strengthens the immune system.

Iron: Help restore your body’s hemoglobin levels. Consuming one’s placenta is the iron equivalent to two blood transfusions.

Selenium: Protects cells from free radicals, supports the thyroid and improves mood.

Zinc: Zinc is located in every tissue in our body. Supports the immune system and increases energy.

B6: Helps with mental clarity and depression. Aids in healing, as well as immune support.

Hormones, Proteins, & Enzymes:

Oxytocin ~ The Love Hormone: Aids in bonding, increases lactation, and helps decrease anxiety

Estrogen: The primary female sex hormone. Helps to increase mental clarity and emotional balance.

Progesterone ~ The hormone of pregnancy: Boosts energy, modulates immune function, and improves mood function.

Prostaglandin ~ The postpartum healer: Promotes cell regeneration and growth. Reduces inflammation in the body. Can reduce or help repair vaginal and rectal tearing as well as the placenta attachment site.

Prolactin ~ All about the milk: Prolactin is mostly found in the pituitary gland, breast, womb, and brain. Main function is to help new mothers produce milk. Many moms report an increase in milk production, who consumed their placenta.

Endorphins and opioids ~ Natural Pain relief: The placenta is saturated with them! Main one in the placenta is called placenta opioid enhancing factor (POEF), it is released when labor starts. This will naturally help reduce pain and overall stress.

Corticotropin releasing hormone: At birth the placenta has 3x more of this hormone (CRH). CRH helps the body deal with stress, and intensity of labor. Consuming the placenta can slowly decrease (CRH) in the body, which results in a more stable emotional experience.

Contradictions
